Ordinary women, extraordinary God.

Who We Are,
and Why

Women in the church today face many challenges. Marriage, child rearing, employment, race, aging, or mental health are just a few to name. Many members in our flocks are bruised and hurting. Moreover, our women today increasingly add to their already complex roles with pressures unique to this era. For these reasons, we believe a need exists to uplift and strengthen today’s woman.
“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees which give way; say to those with fearful hearts, ’Be strong, do not fear; your God will come …’”
~Isaiah 35:3-4

Who Are We?

We are a multi-ethnic, -generational and -abled group of local, ordinary woman who are called to impact today’s women for Christ. We desire to encourage, empower and inspire women to find victory and hope through Jesus Christ during trials and hardships while addressing relevant issues facing today’s women from a biblical perspective. Revelations 12:11 tells us that we will “overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony.” It is our heartbeat to do exactly this. For as sinners saved by grace, the testimony of God’s redemptive work in our lives through trials and tribulations, communicates a powerful message of Hope. It is in this manner that we come alongside women to encourage them and point them to Jesus, particularly in the face of challenges.
Our Purpose
To encourage, empower, and inspire women to find victory and hope through Jesus Christ during trials and hardships while addressing relevant issues facing today’s women from a biblical perspective.

Our Mission
  1. To point women, both lost and saved, to a personal relationship with God, hope in Jesus Christ, and a deeper walk with the Lord through the power of God, the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and his refining work in our lives.
  2. To help women live out the Great Commission through God’s commandment to love by empowering and equipping them to go out and share their stories of faith with the world.

Our Objective
To share personal accounts, lessons, and testimonies of God’s grace and faithfulness from our own trials and victories through Christ Jesus along with Scripture, prayer, praise and worship to transform, edify, inspire, and deepen women’s love for Christ Jesus.

The vision for Women Victorious comes from a desire to encourage women facing many varied pressures in today’s tumultuous world. Our confidence to speak boldly comes not from ourselves, but from Revelations 12:11: We overcome “by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony.”
  • Our focus is to point to overcoming victory through Christ, no matter the circumstance.
  • Our methods are to employ personal testimony, Biblical truths, prayer, praise, and worship.
  • Our approach is personal. We desire to minister to women based on their unique needs, not a one-size-fits-all ministry.
  • We are a diverse group in age, ethnicity, and abilities, encompassing a broad range of life experiences.
  • Worship and music ministry will conform to the unique tastes of the women in any church or fellowship.
  • Small breakout sessions take the message of hope to “real life” situations as women learn how each of them has a “story.” Participants will be encouraged to recognize how God has worked in their situations, despite the trials.
  • The goal of every ministry experience is to empower women to shine their own spiritual lights and share their stories of victory in their personal worlds.

The shape of this Women Victorious ministry will be dependent on the needs of the group. However, in a typical three hour gathering, you might see the following:
Welcome, announcements, prayer.
Praise and worship.
First keynote speaker.
Special music.
Table or Topic Breakout Session.
Praise and worship.
Last keynote speaker.
Closing prayer.

We are an independent group without denominational affiliation, yet we are partnering with Great Bridge Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia, for the purpose of accountability, prayer, and counsel. A solid Biblical and theological foundation is vital in the work of ministry. This is available for your interest and thoughtful review.
